This collection is a nod to the beautiful historic Charleston Green color you can find all over town. The regal color unofficially coming to life during the reconstruction after the Civil War, Charleston local homes and buildings display the color proudly on shutters, doors, window boxes, and more.
✨ Local legends say during the rebuilding of the South after the Civil War, the Union army sent black paint to help with the reconstruction. In effort to perk things up, Charlestonians tinted the given black paint with yellow and green. The result was an inky, greenish black that is still used all over the city.
Each painting from this collection carries the Sherwin Williams Charleston Green from their Historic Colors of Charleston pallet.
